The Photoshop class I'm taking is great! It is really interesting, and I'm being taught much more than I can remember . . . but in time and with practice, I'm sure it will all come into place. Here are some pictures from making the first project-- it is for cutting and pasting (from files the teacher provided) -- The butterfly was made first, and then reduced in size so more things could fit in.

I've been making some hand-sewn and embroidered felt cat brooches; here is one that is white, with green eyes and brown markings. The cat below is gray with blue and white. They both have a pin clasp sewn onto the back. Below is a different gray one . . . Oh, one more thing . . . these can be found in my Etsy fabric art shop, Fuzzlemania, along with an assortment of other brooches and some felt magnets.
Today I'm building this new website . . . and part of it is a blog. The idea is to write about projects I'm working on, art shows and other events, and show some pictures . . .
So here is a picture to start with. It is of an oil painting I made in my college painting class. This was a fun picture to make, and although it was an early assignment in the class, I finished it at the very end of the term, because I had to wait for some parts to dry before painting on top of them; also we were so busy with all the other assignments that mostly it just sat and waited for me for a long time, happily drying. The final parts I added were the facial expressions. The title of this piece is "Pizza Party." |
