Today I'm building this new website . . . and part of it is a blog.  The idea is to write about projects I'm working on, art shows and other events, and show some pictures . . .

So here is a picture to start with.  It is of an oil painting I made in my college painting class.  This was a fun picture to make, and although it was an early assignment in the class, I finished it at the very end of the term, because I had to wait for some parts to dry before painting on top of them; also we were so busy with all the other assignments that mostly it just sat and waited for me for a long time, happily drying.  The final parts I added were the facial expressions. 

The title of this piece is "Pizza Party."
